The third year of the Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana awards ceremony, which is organized by Sirasa News 1st and NDB Bank, will be held to honour and empower Sri Lankan women.

Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana 2022 will take place all around the nation, with the grand award ceremony being held on March 16th, 2023 at Stein Studios.

The Sri Lanka Vanithaabimana program is a highly successful recognition program for women that has gained significant attention for its commitment to elevating Sri Lankan women to the forefront of society. The first Vanithaabimana award ceremony was held in March 2021 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, and it was followed by another ceremony held at the BMICH in March 2022.

The Vanithabimana program aims to recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements of women across Sri Lanka, while also promoting their empowerment and advancement. We are proud to have honored many outstanding women, including the renowned singer Umaria Sinhawansa, who was named the Most Popular Woman in Sri Lanka at the 2021 Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana awards.

The winners of Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana will be chosen at the provincial level as well as from the corporate sector for the grand finale. In addition, there will also be a most popular category, where the winner will be chosen by the public on the day of Grand Finale. Hence general public can continue their voting till 16th March 2023 to 7788 by using the format VB via an SMS.

The Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana program has two primary goals: to promote the participation of women in the modern economy and to encourage and facilitate their advancement. This prestigious program is one of the largest at the national level, recognizing and encouraging women's invaluable contributions to both the economy and society.

Eight winners will be chosen from a pool of contestants who will be recognized under eight separate categories at the provincial level. The provincial level comprises of Sports, Entrepreneur (Micro Scale), Entrepreneur (Small Scale), Entrepreneur (Up Coming, Voluntary Services, Art, Education Services and Young Leader.

Corporate Sector Categories include Human Resources, Finance Management, Marketing and Advertising, Legal, State and Government Sector, CSR, Hospitality Industry, Art, Sports and Entrepreneur. Then winners will be chosen, therefore one winner from each category will be eligible for the grand prize.

The Sri Lanka Vanithabhimana strongly believes that by highlighting the success stories of women and providing them with the recognition they deserve, we can inspire more women to reach their full potential and contribute to the development of our nation.
