Nations Trust Bank partners the Keells Food Donation Card Programme

Nations Trust Bank American Express has announced its partnership with Keells to support the “Together for a better tomorrow” Food Donation Card Programme, an initiative to extend timely assistance to those in need. The Keells Food Donation Card will be equivalent to a food pack worth Rs. 1500 and can be purchased at any of the Keells Supermarkets, island wide and via www.keellssuper.com.

Nations Trust Bank customers are now able to use their American Express Cards to purchase the donation cards and as a part of Nations Trust Bank’s CSR initiative, for every 9 donation cards purchased, the 10th card will be donated as a courtesy of the Bank, up to a maximum of 300 donation cards.

Commenting on this partnership, Theja Silva – Head of CSR of Nations Trust Bank said “We are pleased to partner this great initiative put together by Keells. As responsible entities, it is our duty to come forward to bring in some relief towards our fellow citizens as they battle to make ends meet. I wish to invite all our Nations Trust Bank American Express Card members to join us in marking a much needed difference in our communities.”

The project aims to sell 100,000 Keells Food Donation Cards through the generous support from the community, which will support a similar number of families. The sole objective of this initiative for both, Nations Trust Bank and Keells, is to do its part towards the country and its people with utmost transparency and credibility.
