ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT

ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT – PFS RECOVERIES DEPARTMENT

You should ideally;

  • possess at least 10 – 12 years of experience in branch banking with exposure to PFS recoveries
  • have a proven track record of setting ambitious targets and consistently achieving or exceeding them
  • have demonstrated a strong drive to succeed and be motivated by challenging objectives.
  • possess a results-oriented mindset and is accustomed to working in high-pressure environments.
  • have excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve set target and have a sound 
  • knowledge of  relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to collections and recoveries
  • possess an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve recovery efforts
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, recovery agencies, and 
  • customers
  • be proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • possess proficiency in using collection software and tools, as well as MS Office applications. 
You will be responsible for,

  • developing and implementing effective strategies and action plans to reduce the NonPerforming Loan (NPL) portfolio of Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Overdrafts, Leasing and Housing Loans
  • manage and oversee the assignment of the NPL portfolio to recovery agencies, ensuring adherence to recovery policies and procedures
  • coordinating with recovery agencies to monitor and evaluate their performance in achieving recovery targets and take necessary actions to enhance recovery effort
  • conductingperiodic portfolio reviews and analysis to identify highrisk accounts, recommend appropriate strategies, and allocate resources accordingly.
  • collaborating with the Credit Risk team to analyze and understand the root causes of delinquencies, identify trends, and develop preventive measures to minimize future NPLs
  • leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of bank supervisors placed across different regions  of Sri Lanka, ensuring their effective performance in supervising DRA agents and meeting collection targets
  • developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Credit, Legal, and Compliance teams, to ensure alignment and cooperation in the recovery process
  • monitoring regulatory compliance related to collections and recoveries activities, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical practices.
  • preparing regular reports and provide updates to senior management  on the progress and performance of the NPL portfolio, highlighting key challenges, achievement, and proposed actions
