Senior Manager - Legal
Role Accountabilities
- Attend to all matters relating to the examination of title to land.
- Draft and attest Mortgage Bonds and other related deeds.
- Draft all other security documents required by the Bank in relation to commercial transactions.
- Advise the Bank on legal matters and changes of legislation and regulations.
- Draft pleadings and appear in Court and other Tribunals on behalf of the Bank in civil and criminal cases
Relevant Experience
- Ability to draft all security and legal documents.
- Ability to draft commercial agreements.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the legal profession including Notarial work (out of which 5 years of work-related experience should be in a licensed commercial bank) and Court work
- Experience in drafting commercial agreements and handling police and magisterial inquiries will be a definite advantage.
Educational Qualifications
- The candidate should be an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public with Notarial License to practice in the District of Colombo in English Language.
- A Master's Degree in Law (LLM)/ Business Management (MBA) will be an added advantage.
