Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrating enterprise firewall clusters including WEB Proxy, NAC, IDS/IPS. Etc.
- Applying required security policies to enable services according to business requirements.
- Performing software upgrades to patch vulnerabilities in relevant security gateways.
- Perform backups, health checks, and resource monitoring of network security systems.
- Performs regular reviews and optimizations of rule bases in network security appliances.
- Coordinating with external organizations in building secure communication channels for business digital transactions.
- Coordinate with vendor in deploying, configuring and managing network security systems.
- Troubleshooting network access issues.
- Preparing reports and maintaining documents to meet compliance requirements.
- Remote support during non-business hours should be provided on need basis and during critical situations/service outages, onsite support should be provided as desired on the request of management.
- Ensure continuous learning and updating of knowledge to be updated with latest technologies
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networking and Security, Science, Information Technology, BIT, BCS or equivalent.
- Industry level security certifications would be an added advantage. (Checkpoint, Fortinet, PaloAlto Etc)
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 03 years of experience in the capacity of System Engineer / Network Engineer with firewall administration experience.
Non-Technical Requirements
- Configuration and administration of network security related devices.
- Maintaining enterprise scale networks according to compliance and industry guidelines.
- Providing 2nd level support to end users and external organizations.
- Firewalls, WEB Proxy. NAC, logs Backups procedures.
- Systems troubleshooting in a production environment.
- Administrating and troubleshooting network and security systems in a production environment.
