SENIOR MANAGER

SENIOR MANAGER – SOFTWARE ENGINEERING / CORE BANKING DEVELOPMENT – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

You should ideally;

  • possess a Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering or related field or Master’s degree in IT preferred
  • Possess at least 8 years’ software development experiencepossess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • possess stake holder management skills, planning & organizing skills, analytical skills & problem solving
You will be responsible for,

  • plan delivery of projects as per applicable project management schedules
  • ensure complete understanding of user department needs, project scope, timelines and other aspects relevant for delivery and ensure resource allocation as per project priorities, project complexities & delivery schedule
  • define all aspects of development from architectural blueprints, appropriate technology, workflow, coding standards, tools, methodologies and such others that ensure system integration, meeting project objectives with minimal defects / bugs during testing
  • ensure software development is consistent with initial design and ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility and delivered as per schedule
  • study defect / bug / UAT reports to ensure defect-free / bug-free delivery in future projects and prepare & submit project progress reports to all concerned, as per policy and ensure safe-keep of all source codes & documents, as per policy
  • establish a robust control environment that is periodically reviewed & strengthened to ensure compliance with all applicable policie and identify & implement cost optimization initiatives
  • identify automation / digitization opportunities that will enhance productivity / accuracy / reduce cost / other benefits without compromising on risk
  • ensure identification & emplacement of vendors as per procurement policy and ensure zero-tolerance with respect to any deviations from the applicable policies
  • provide inputs and adhere to the integrated risk management framework that protects the bank from all forms of risk – security risk, reputation risk, operating risk and such others that would be applicable
  • sustain a performance-culture within the team and plan & schedule necessary training / knowledge enhancement to the team and track & update of learning’s portal
  • work with the HR team in recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback, appraisal and such others
